Before Fieldwork

Well today I am very excited but also nervous. My group and I stayed up all night putting the finishing touches on our lesson plan. I have  a feeling the students are going to love learning our lessons but also will be very excited. We bought many different materials to go along with our lesson. We made the students feather pens to make them feel that they are really in the Medieval Times. We also created crown name tags for our students so they can feel like kings and queens. We came up with a very exciting opening to get the students interested in the topic of the Battle of Hastings. We bought a trumpet and we will play it as we come in. We also will use this trumpet to control the students' volume. We expect the students to be very excited and rowdy after this opening skit. Planning Our Lessons

My group and I have been brainstorming different ideas we could use for our lessons. Working together as a group is very exciting but at times can be very challenging. This is because everybody has different ideas. Luckily my group agrees with many ideas. I would say the most challenging part of working together as a group is meeting at a decent time. With everybody's busy schedules it is hard to find a time that works for everybody. Now it is starting to get close to our time to present our lessons. My group and I teach third. Last semester my group taught first and it was very rough. We did not know what to do and we were all very nervous/ did not know what to expect. My group and I are now starting to create our lesson plans. This is getting me very excited!!
